What is the Messiah’s real name?

What is the Messiah’s real name?

Yeshua.

Only in Hebrew does this name have any meaning, in Hebrew Yeshua means "Salvation".

A popular name used for Jesus is Yehoshua, and means "Yehovah saves."

But is this his real name?

Let’s find out.

Matthew 1:21 “She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

When a mission is given in the bible they are named according to their mission …

For example: Abram to Abraham = Father of nations

Jacob to Israel = Man sees the highest

His name was changed from Emmanuel (with us the highest) to Yeshua (salvation), because “he will save his people”.

This is why his name is not Yehoshua (Joshua), because the text does not say Yehovah will save, it says “he will save”.

Where does “Jesus” come from, if his real name is Yeshua?

Well, the same way we see that in the Hebrew to Greek translation some words weren’t translated,

(Ex. Satan = Accuser, Melchisedec = Just King)

We see that from Greek to any other language, in this case English some words weren’t translated; they were adopted into the language. (Ex. Angel = Messenger, Apostasy = departed, Demon = Messenger between the gods and men.)

“Yeshua” was not translated; it was transliterated to Greek as “Iesous”.

"Iesous" came over into the Latin "Jesu" (pronounced "yehsoo") and finally into English as "Jesus”

We also know it is Yeshua and not Yahoshua as some claim because if Iesous is the transliterated form, it means that phonetically it had that "ie" or "Ye" and not "ia" or "ya"
